The Ministry of Development shows the life, minute by minute, on the surface of five Spanish cities with metro

The exhibition, with images of Barcelona, ​​Bilbao, Madrid, Seville and Valencia, is part of PhotoEspaña 2011.
Through 750 photographs taken at the exits of the stations of seven subway lines, the exhibition recreates the evolution of the city minute by minute, which is the time it takes the suburban to move from one stop to another.

The sample starts from the idea of ​​doing an exercise of observation of the city from the point of view of the person who moves and uses it on foot," explains the commissioner, the architect Fernando Marzá. "For this," he continues, "the metro stops are used in order to perceive the changes that occur in the city minute by minute, which is the time that, on average, it takes the suburban to move from one stop to another. The photographs are taken in the center of the exit of each of the stops of those lines that section the city in a more representative way, as if we emerged from below the earth with a periscope ". "It's not a question of showing monumental or anecdotal photographs, but the image of the city in each and every one of those points.
